Changing the World One Dinner Table at a Time. 50% Fruit, 50% Vegetables, 100% Fresh Fun & Delicious!
This is a grass roots, all volunteer, no contracts, no catch co-operative. As a group, we purchase items at deep discounts. Items are then distributed evenly among participants. (Weekly contribution is $15 plus a $1.50 administration fee.) Contribute whenever you want--weekly, every other week, or once a month. If one basket is too much for your family, find a friend to split it with!
Contribution time is from noon on Monday until 11 pm EST on Tuesday. Contributions are made on the national Bountiful Basket website (www.bountifulbaskets.org).
The Athens pick-up time is 11:30 on Saturdays at the back of the Goodwill parking lot on Huntington Road. Look for us straight ahead of the main shopping center entrance, under the shade trees.
As mentioned above, this is run by volunteers. So every other month or so, we ask that you come early (10:30) and help us distribute the food. Volunteering is a lot of fun!
